Robert E. Fish - Executive Director
Rob is a Mortgage Broker, registered with the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (“FSCO”). His FSCO # is M18000854.
Rob is responsible for the daily management of all Stewards Canada operations, including business relationships with its investors, borrowers, and third party services. Rob was a Director of Stewards Canada from 2000 – 2017 and became its Executive Director in 2018.
He was born in Toronto, ON and became a Christian while attending Grace Chapel in Sherbrooke, QC. As a teenager, he first fellowshipped at Don Valley Bible Chapel (Toronto, ON).
Rob graduated from the Honors Business Administration program at the University of Western Ontario (London, ON) in June 1983 and completed a graduate degree in Management Science at the University of Waterloo (Waterloo, ON) in 1986. He became a Certified Management Accountant in 1992.
Rob began his career training staff to use computer systems sold to automobile dealerships and later as an accountant with an automotive parts firm and a cheque printing firm. He has also worked for two years at Tyndale University College and Seminary as the business office manager. He was Controller and Office Manager of The Gideons International in Canada and Director of Finance and Administration at Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship and Director of Finance and Administration at Partners International.
Rob has served as a deacon and treasurer for Guelph Bible Chapel and as a deacon at Westney Heights Baptist Church in Whitby, ON. More recently, he is a member of Bramalea Baptist Church, where he served from 2013 – 2019 as a member of the Board of Directors. Rob and his wife Sherri have one son.
David G. Barnett - Director
David has served as a Director of Stewards Canada from 1989 to 2000 and since September 2011. David is the Chairman of the Board of Directors.
David was born and raised in Toronto, ON, where he trusted Christ as his Saviour at age 18. He was subsequently received into the fellowship of Eglinton Avenue Gospel Hall in Toronto, ON. In 1976 David married Sharon, and together they have been actively involved at Eglinton Gospel Hall, Forestbrook Bible Chapel (Pickering, ON), Markham Bible Chapel (Markham, ON) and Northside Bible Chapel (Barrie, ON). During those years, David has ministered as a deacon, treasurer, Sunday school teacher and on several building committees. He has also served on the boards of Bethany Lodge in Unionville and local youth sports clubs.
In 1973 David graduated from Ryerson University with his Bachelor of Commerce, and has been a Chartered Accountant since 1976. In 2004, he further earned his Certified Financial Planners designation. For 28 years David was a partner in a public accounting firm in Unionville, ON, and in 2004 he re-located his practice to Barrie, ON. His accounting expertise has been a valuable asset to many assemblies, commended workers and missionaries, evangelical churches and Christian charitable organizations.
David and Sharon currently reside in Barrie, ON, and attend Pinewoods Chapel. They have two grown married daughters.
Ross Clark - Director
Ross was a Director of Stewards Canada from 1995 – 2007. He became the Executive Director from 2007 – 2017 and he rejoined the Board in 2018. He is a Mortgage Broker, registered with the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (“FSCO”). His FSCO # is M11002720.
Ross was born and raised in Orillia, ON where he accepted Christ as his Saviour at age 10 and added to the fellowship of Dominion Gospel Hall. Among others, he has been in fellowship with assemblies at Highbury Avenue Gospel Hall (London, ON), Assemblee Christiani Evangelico (Torino, Italy) and Milton Gospel Hall (Milton, ON).
Ross obtained a B.A. in Social Sciences from the University of Western Ontario (London, ON) in 1976 and a diploma in Accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University (Waterloo, ON) in 1978 and has been a Chartered Accountant since 1979. He also earned a Masters in Theological Studies from Tyndale Seminary (Toronto, ON) in 2001.
Ross has held a variety of financial and general management positions in his business career. He worked for five years for PriceWaterhouseCoopers, including two in Torino, Italy before returning to Canada. Ross worked two years as Financial Controller of Sonco Steel Tube Limited, before becoming Chief Financial Officer and a Director at Vulcan Packaging Inc., a company traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the US Nasdaq. He has also been Chief Financial Officer of NRI Industries Inc. (Toronto, ON), Cimtek Inc. (Burlington, ON) and L. V. Lomas Limited (Brampton, ON).
Ross continues to be active at Milton Gospel Hall in Milton, ON. Ross and his wife Shirley live in Mississauga, ON and have two grown sons.
Mark Cretney - Director
Born and raised in Ajax, Mark Cretney came to know the Lord at a young age while attending ForestBrook Bible Chapel (Pickering). Mark graduated from Queen’s University in 2005 with a BA.
Mark and his wife Alanna were married in 2007 and began attending Carruthers Creek Community Church, Ajax (C4). Mark actively served in a variety of roles in Youth Ministries, including teaching, preaching, and small-group leader. Mark, Alanna and their three children – Daniel (7), Madelyn (4) and Sam (2) – recently moved to Cobourg and are attending Fellowship Baptist Church.
Since graduating Mark has worked in a number of different roles within Capital Markets. Mark worked on a Retail Trading desk covering a wide range of products including Equities, Bonds and FX, and the markeplace regulator, IIROC, before moving to a large Canadian bank where he currently works in the Finance Department supporting Capital Markets. Mark is currently pursuing his CPA.
Terry W. Cretney - Director

Terry was born in Belleville, Ontario and accepted Christ as his Saviour when he was 19 years old while attending university. His career has taken him to a variety of cities across Canada and so, he has fellowshipped at Belleville Bible Chapel, Union Street Gospel Chapel (Kingston), Rideauview Bible Chapel (Ottawa), Faith Gospel Chapel (Toronto), Devine Street Gospel Chapel (Sarnia); Shoreacres Bible Chapel (Burlington); Bethany Chapel (Calgary); Brockview Bible Chapel (St. Catharines) and Forest Brook Bible Chapel (Ajax).
Terry has served in a variety of ministries including Sunday School teacher, speaker, treasurer, Awana youth leader and, for over 25 years, as an elder at Forest Brook, many of those years as chair of the board. He has previously served as a board member for Scripture Union, as registrar for a youth conference held for a number of years in Port Hope, has been active in the Billy Graham crusade in Calgary and assisted in fundraising activities for the Franklin Graham Festival of Hope in Toronto.
Terry graduated from Queen’s University in 1972 with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree. He has completed the Canadian Securities course and is a retired CPA, CGA. He has held a variety of positions in accounting and finance including auditor, accountant, chief financial officer and, for the last 20 years of his career, treasurer for HSBC Financial Corporation Limited and chair of the company’s pension committee. His work in the financial markets has made him knowledgeable in monetary policy and the Canadian economy.
Terry has been married to Diane since 1975 and they have four grown children. Terry and Diane retired in 2012 and currently reside in Port Hope, ON. They currently attend Fellowship Baptist Church in Cobourg.
David DiMarco - Director
David DiMarco joined Stewards Canada as a Director in October 2014. David was born, raised and has lived his entire adult life in the Greater Toronto Area.
David trusted Christ as his Saviour at age 18 and shortly thereafter was received into the fellowship of the Mimico Gospel Hall (today known as Applewood Gospel Hall) where he was active in the children’s ministries. He also served as the assembly treasurer for a number of years before he moved with his family to the Milton Gospel Hall. He continues to be active in that assembly and in its prison ministry.
David is the treasurer of Joy Bible Camp, Bancroft ON and was director at Elim Homes, Waubaushene ON.
David graduated from The University of Toronto in 1979 with a Bachelor of Commerce and four years later earned his Certified Management Account designation. He is now retired from his position as Director of Finance at the Salvation Army National Recycling Operation after many years of service. That organization operates over 100 Salvation Army Thrift stores across Canada. David is now retired from his position as Director of Finance at the Salvation Army National Recycling Operation after many years of service.
David and Donna have three adult children and two grandchildren and live in Mississauga.
