Ron was born and schooled in Livingstone and Lusaka, Zambia. He accepted Christ as his Saviour and in 1956 was baptized and first received into fellowship at Lancaster Avenue Gospel Chapel in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. Ron immigrated to Canada in 1957 and served for three years in the Royal Canadian Air Force as an electronics instructor. After leaving the Air Force, Ron spent the majority of his career with the Royal Trust Company in Winnipeg and Toronto, primarily in the administration of pension plans and later as an account executive to foreign insurance companies licensed in Canada. |
Ron’s participation on the Stewards Canada Board of Directors is valued due to his banking and investment experience. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Trinitarian Bible Society, which distributes Bibles worldwide in over forty languages. He has also served on the Board of Directors (Treasurer) of Faith Bible Camp near Winnipeg, MB. Ron has served as a deacon for over 25 years in various Brethren assemblies, including Arlington Street Bible Chapel (Winnipeg, MB), Bendale Bible Chapel (Scarborough, ON) and West Fifth Bible Chapel (Hamilton, ON). Ron and his wife, Pat, are retired and living in Hamilton, ON. |
