George has been a Director of Stewards Canada since 1992.

George was born in Cairo, Egypt of Lebanese, Maronite parents and received his primary education at the English Bible School in Cairo, where he accepted Christ as his Saviour. He graduated in 1955 with an Oxford and Cambridge General Certificate of Education. Subsequently, George completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Concordia University (Montreal, QC).

George began his career in Cairo, where he worked for five years with Barclays Bank and two years for the American Embassy. In 1962, he immigrated to Montreal, QC.

 

 

George re-engaged in his banking career by joining the Toronto Dominion (TD) Bank in Montreal, where he also met and married his wife Georgette. In 1972, TD transferred George to Lebanon to buy a commercial bank, establish a TD Middle East Regional Office in Beirut and open TD branches in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. He was transferred back to Toronto, ON in 1975 and worked with the TD bank until his retirement in 1999.

George has attended Meadowvale Bible Chapel and Erindale Bible Chapel, both in Mississauga, ON. He continues to serve as an elder at Erindale.
