David G. BarnettDavid has served as a Director of Stewards Canada from 1989 to 2000 and since September 2011.

David was born and raised in Toronto, ON, where he trusted Christ as his Saviour at age 18.  He was subsequently received into the fellowship of Eglinton Avenue Gospel Hall in Toronto, ON.  In 1976 David married Sharon, and together they have been actively involved at Eglinton Hall, Forestbrook Bible Chapel (Pickering, ON), Markham Bible Chapel (Markham, ON) and Northside Bible Chapel (Barrie, ON).  During those years, David has ministered as a deacon, treasurer, Sunday school teacher and on several building committees.  He has also served on the boards of Bethany Lodge in Unionville and local youth sports clubs.


 In 1973 David graduated from Ryerson University with his Bachelor of Commerce, and has been a Chartered Accountant since 1976.  In 2004, he further earned his Certified Financial Planners designation.  For 28 years David was a partner in a public accounting firm in Unionville, ON, and in 2004 he re-located his practice to Barrie, ON.  His accounting expertise has been a valuable asset to many assemblies, commended workers and missionaries, evangelical churches and Christian charitable organizations.

David and Sharon currently reside in Barrie, ON, and attend Northside Bible Chapel.  They have two grown, happily-married daughters.
